“Crossing the Limits” — Formula One Austria 2023

The team that is destroying the competition has their home Gran Prix on the 10th round of this year's championship, with another sprint weekend, and I can already tell that for me the sprint race was the best race of this year.

With only one free practice performed, the drivers had the qualifying session to decide Sunday's starting grid. Starting with the expected result, Max Verstappen was the faster, but not by a big difference, with Charles Leclerc doing a lap 0,048 seconds slower, in fact, the performance of the Ferrari drivers was surprising with a second a third place. Also surprising was the result of Checo Perez, that due to invalidated laps was not able to get into Q3. In this session it was also interesting to observe that Mercedes was not as strong as in recent weekends, Mclaren brought interesting upgrades and Albon was once again able to get his car into Q3.

On Saturday, we had the “Sprint Sessions”, the qualifying confirmed the notes from Friday and added some interesting information: Red Bull cars were first and second, Mclaren upgrades made the car quick…
